Thomas - interesting that you should mention 'focus' in your review of Illuminate. As I have participated in Wimba, I have observed instructors being distracted by the text box, trying to relay their information and also respond to student comments.
ReplyDeleteThe text box is my way of taking notes from the student's perspective especially if I do not try to respond to others comments and only the instructors. However, if I were the instructor, I can see how the text would be very distracting...thus the need to focus, Illuminating the topic at hand. If the topic is worthy of instruction - it is worthy of our undivided attention.
